If you own an Android phone, you already enjoy its customizability and the ability to install a wider range of apps compared to, let's say, an iOS device.
Also, if you're reading this article right now, you are probably interested in retro gaming and possibly already play ROMs on your Android. If not, that's cool too because the following app will change everything.
Introducing Emulator Games Database! This is a must-have app and the only one you need if you love emulators and retro games!
This amazing Android app has tabs for two separate lists: emulators and games.
The emulators tab on the left provides a convenient list of the most popular emulator apps on Google Play, sorted by system, so you don't have to search everywhere for them.
On the games tab, the app provides an extensive games list for 27 systems including GBA, GBC, NES, N64, NDS, PSX, SNES and much more.
You will be able to search for games using the top search box or browse games by letter, genre or top rated. On each list you also have the ability to filter by region. Provided on each game screen are screenshots, a recommended emulator and options to search for more information on Google.
NOTE: This app is NOT a ROMs downloader. As per Google policy, you cannot download ROMs directly from the app. However, if you tap the "Search For More Info" button, you will be taken to a Google search results page. Tap the first search result and you will see a "Download Now" button near the bottom of the page.
Another cool feature is if an emulator is already installed on your device, it will be marked as "Installed" and tapping the name will launch the application directly. Essentially, this app is the only one you need to manage all of your emulators!
