Good news! GBA4iOS allows you to do just that! If you aren't already familiar with GBA4iOS, it's a Gameboy emulator app that allows you to play Gameboy games (ROMs) on your iOS device. The coolest feature is that it does not require a jailbroken device to install!
On February 19, 2014 update 2.0 was released, and it contains many new features including original Gameboy and Gameboy Color support (on top of Gameboy Advance), a built-in browser to download ROMs seamlessly, full cheats support and customizable controller skins.
Other features include Dropbox sync for save states and "Event Distribution" that allows GBA4iOS to unlock and distribute features that are not normally included within games.
